Andrea Brace Joins the Food Studies Advisory Board

Andrea M. Brace earned a BA in Psychology, BS in Biological Sciences, MS in Health Promotion, and a PhD in Health Promotion and Behavior. Andrea has been CHES certified since 2009, and an evaluator since 2006. Andrea has presented at local, regional and national public health conferences and has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals. She was an ORISE post-doctoral fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity. Currently she is an Assistant Professor at Towson University. She teaches Environmental Health, Statistics, Research Methods, Urban Food Systems, and Health Communication. Andrea is also passionate about teaching students about international health through study abroad programs. Her research interests include food access and food equity, stealth interventions, place and health using GIS, and classroom technologies.
