Daniel Greene is an Assistant Professor of Information Studies at the University of Maryland. His research explores how the future of work is built and who is included in that future. His first book, will be published by the MIT Press in April 2021; blending ethnography and political economy, it explores how the problem of poverty was transformed into a problem of technology. Daniel’s research draws on technology studies, cultural studies, the sociology of work, and organization studies and appears in such journals as >i class="">New Media & Society, Research in the Sociology of Work, and the International Journal of Communication.
