Human-Centered AI Transformations Network

The Human-Centered AI Transformations Network is a collaborative research consortium examining the social, legal, and ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence.

Hosted by the Common Ground Media Lab, the Network convenes scholars from the humanities, social sciences, education, law, and computer science to explore how AI might enhance human autonomy, equity, and collective well-being.

Its work spans applied and normative inquiry—from developing explainable and transparent AI models, to studying the implications of automation for intellectual labor, bias, and inequality.

The Network promotes a humanistic vision of AI as a co-creative partner, not an opaque system of control, and works to ensure AI serves as a foundation for a more inclusive knowledge society.
